Now that summer is over and the kiddos are back in school, it is time for a little “me time.” Now I know what you are thinking …”Me time, what is that?” But now is a perfect time to set up a little time, just for you, to do the things you need and want to do. Everyone needs a little “me time” now and then, time to take care of ourselves. Time for a little pampering …health and beauty wellness. You deserve it!!
My mom taught me how important personal grooming can be, not only for our outer appearance, but for our well-being, our personal outlook. The way we feel about ourselves. If we feel that we look good on the outside, we feel happier. I know if I am having a good hair day, then I am having a good day! Through the years my mom passed some of her beauty tips for hair on to me and I thought I would share some of them with you. I hope that you find some of these ideas useful.
Condition your hair before you shampoo. This works great if you have an oily scalp, but dry hair. Wet your hair, towel it dry and then apply conditioner, starting an inch from your scalp work conditioner through your hair, wait 5 minutes and then rinse. Shampoo as normal. This works well for me as my hair can be dry. But too much conditioner can way it down and cause it to be limp as it is thick but fine.
To revitalize and give luster to all types of hair:
I remember my mother using this remedy on me when I was little. I did not like the smell of the vinegar …but I loved how shiny my hair looked after.
Natural Hair Conditioner :
When swimming daily, in chlorinated or salt water, alternate hair care, using shampoo one day and conditioner the next.
And there you have it!
P.S. Your hair thanks you
Thanks for visiting!
