I am truly in love with Breakfast. Pancakes, Crescents, Pastries, Crepes, Omelets, Quiche …the list goes on and Muffins are no exception. These are little cinnamon, sugary bites of heaven! They taste just like Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. These are quick and easy and oh so good!
Sugar Cinnamon Donut Muffins

Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup white sugar
-
1/4 cup margarine, melted
-
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1 teaspoon baking powder
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1/4 cup margarine, melted
-
1/2 cup white sugar
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease 12-muffin cups.
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup margarine, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Stir in the milk, then mix in the baking powder and flour until just combined. Fill the prepared muffin cups about half full.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the tops are lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
- While muffins are baking, place 1/4 cup of melted margarine in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of sugar with the cinnamon. Remove muffins from their cups, dip each muffin in the melted margarine, and roll in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Let cool and serve.
I’ll take a dozen please! -:)

Haha! You got it! They are addicting, I must warn you Victoria. 😉 My son ate about 3 and the rest I would have eaten all myself, if I did not bring them to work!

Thanks Lisa! I think they were a little too good for me, as I probably ate too many. Hehe. But in a way that was a good thing, because I don’t always like my own cooking or baking.

I know! And I am going to have to stop baking and eating these things! I know how bad sugary sweet stuff is for our bodies. I used to hardly ever eat sweets. All of a sudden in say the past 6 mo -year I have been craving sweets! Ugh!

The thing I’ve found is the more you eat, the more you crave unfortunately.
